Refund Policy

A. Charitable Donations
 

Charitable contributions to FIMTF are voluntary and generally non-refundable, consistent with standard nonprofit practices.

 

Tax-Deductibility Statement
 

FIMTF is a qualified 501(c)(3) organization. Contributions may be tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. Donors should consult their tax advisor regarding deductibility. No goods or services are provided in exchange for donations unless explicitly stated (e.g., event tickets or merchandise), in which case only the portion exceeding the fair market value (FMV) may be deductible.

 

Refund Eligibility
 

Refunds may be granted in limited circumstances, including:

• Duplicate or accidental donations

• Incorrect donation amount entered in error

• Unauthorized or fraudulent transactions
  
   

Timeframe
 

Requests must be submitted within 15 calendar days of the transaction date.

 

Refund Determination

• Approved refunds will generally be issued in the full original amount

• Refunds will be returned to the original payment method, where feasible
  
   

B. Event Tickets and Registrations
 

Event-related payments are typically non-refundable, as funds are committed to program delivery and operational expenses.

 

Tax Considerations
 

If an event provides goods, services, or benefits (e.g., meals, materials), the non-deductible portion will reflect the fair market value of those benefits, as disclosed in event materials or receipts.

 

Refund Eligibility
 

Refunds may be considered under the following conditions:

• Event cancellation by FIMTF

• Material change in event details (e.g., date, location, or format)

• Timely request due to extenuating circumstances (case-by-case)

• Requests must be submitted at least 10 business days prior to the event, unless the event is canceled or materially modified
  
   

Refund Determination
 

• Full refunds for events canceled by FIMTF

• Partial refunds or credits for qualifying cases

• Option to transfer registration or apply credit toward future events may be offered
  
   

C. Merchandise Purchases
 

FIMTF accepts returns for merchandise in accordance with the following:

Eligibility

• Defective, damaged, or incorrect items

• Unused items returned in original condition (where applicable)

Requests must be submitted within 15 calendar days of delivery.

• Full refunds for defective or incorrect items

• Partial refunds may apply for non-original condition

D. Payment Processing and Chargebacks
 

All transactions conducted on FIMTF.org are processed securely through third-party payment providers, including:

• Wix Payments

• Stripe

Processing Terms

• Transactions are subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable payment processor

• FIMTF does not store full payment card information
  
   

Chargebacks and Disputes

• Donors and purchasers are encouraged to contact FIMTF directly to resolve any issues prior to initiating a chargeback

• Chargebacks may result in additional administrative review and documentation requirements

• FIMTF reserves the right to contest chargebacks where appropriate and supported by transaction records
  
   

E. General Conditions

• Requests must include relevant documentation (receipt, transaction ID, description of issue)

• Approved refunds are typically processed within 7–14 business days, depending on the payment processor
   

FIMTF reserves the right to deny refund requests that fall outside the scope of this policy or where there is evidence of misuse.
