OPERATIONAL SUPPORT

Supporting Florida Incident Management Teams When They Are Called to Serve

IMTs repsond to the 8th Street Pedestrian Bridge Collapse at Florida International University in 2018.

When Florida Incident Management Teams deploy, they often enter complex, fast-moving, and resource-constrained environments. Their ability to support local jurisdictions depends not only on trained personnel and sound incident management doctrine, but also on practical field support that helps teams remain focused, organized, informed, and mission-ready.

The Florida Incident Management Teams Foundation is working to strengthen operational support for Florida IMTs before, during, and after deployment. By helping address logistical needs, planning requirements, situational awareness gaps, private-sector coordination, and special operational challenges, FIMTF supports the people and teams who help communities manage complex incidents.
